what to wear to a summer wedding

deciding what to wear to a summer wedding all depends on the venue.  since each wedding is different, i use each wedding as an excuse for buying a new dress and it all works out!  this weekend is my cousin’s wedding – the first in the family – a big fat greek wedding!  i’m wearing this dress by esley and i’m really excited.

here are some ideas for what you can wear to any summer weddings you’re going to in the next couple months depending on the location:

MandyH8800

deux fm

church

Nixxi

toast

larimeloom

Gina Michele

do you have any weddings this summer?  what are you wearing?

love this. we are going to a wedding at the end of september, so I can’t justify getting another dress:(

I saw some photos recently of white plaid (with tan) and thought it was super cool. Definitely not a pattern I think of for the summer, but it totally worked.

you can still buy a new dress for a fall wedding :) the white plaid with tan combo does sound cool!

I just recently attended a summer wedding. I really wanted a dress with a little bit of sleeve. My arms aren’t very toned. I compromised by getting a sleeveless dress but then accessorized it with a cute shrug sweater. it was perfect…cool for the outdoors yet a little warmth in the a/c reception hall.

The first dress is a photo of a sewing pattern from Vogue patterns and not a MandyH (Mandy Davis) creation, pictures of her actual sewing differ remarkably and poorly from the ripped off professional photos she is using. Be warned.

Becca- A lot of seamstresses use commercial patterns, it is actually very normal… how are you assuming the quality is low? I only ask because I had a dress made by MandyH8800 on Etsy and it was amazing, better than expected and the quality was actually better than what I have seen at most retail shops for the same thing.

She violated Vogue’s copyright by passing off their website photos as her own which is not normal and is quite illegal, she had to change her website because of it. The photo shown on this blog is a Vogue copyright, and should be attributed to them, not Mandy Davis. Currently she is passing off photos from bridal magazines as her own work. You might have gotten one of her better creations. Check her feedback and especially check out how she blames the buyers for all the faults of her work.
