i’ll be honest, i am not someone who likes to spend a whole lot of time or money on my hair, especially when it’s for one-night-only events, like a holiday party. i usually end up just being lazy and wearing my hair like i wear it every other day. but i have a couple holiday parties coming up and want to do something a little different, but still easy and inexpensive. so i found some pretty hairstyles i like that are easy – let me know if you have any other ideas to share!
1) pin it back. just take some hair on either side and pin it back with some bobby pins – effortless and better than wearing it straight down!
2) add a braid. either a long, loose braid or a small braid around the crown of your head. easy enough, right?
3) wear a headband. you can wear a simple, subtle headband or go all out with a rhinestone one!
4) wear your hair the opposite of how you normally do. if you are naturally curly, get a good hair straightener and go super sleek. if you are naturally straight, put some curlers and hairspray in your hair to add some curl and volume.

i’m really liking braids lately, kristen stewart’s subtle braid in her updo is lovely
