RIP citizens of humanity jeans

so i don’t usually write about brand names here, but i feel like these jeans are worthy of breaking that rule.  back in 2004, i moved out of state to new york city, just to go somewhere new, get my career started, and meet new people.  i l-o-v-e-d it there!  one random memory from when i first moved there is going out to bars and noticing that everyone was wearing designer jeans.  i knew i had to keep up and my non-designer jeans weren’t going to cut it (i’m not even going to embarrass myself with what brand i was wearing then).  so i went over to bloomingdales on 59th and 3rd and spent the money to buy my first pair of designer jeans from citizens of humanity. i was quickly addicted and now own more pairs of jeans than i need.

well, sadly, 6 years later, my two favorite pairs of jeans from citizens of humanity have ripped and are no longer wearable.  i know this is cheesy, but i’ve never been so sad to see a piece of clothes go.  maybe it’s because of the sentimental value they have?  or that they fit me so well? ask my boyfriend ;) they are still sitting on the floor in my room – not sure why. and i will be replacing them and hoping that they have the same affect my first pair had for me.

have you ever felt like this about clothes of yours?  or am i just crazy?
