I am loving this trend! I’m not sure what it is about it, but I love the feminine and fun texture of pleats. Prada was also a fan of pleats as seen throughout the spring 2012 runway show.
I love that there are pleats in knee-length skirts, maxi skirts, dresses and tops – a really fun way to bring some fun to your work wardrobe! Here’s some to get you started (click for details):
What the heck does peplum mean? I’ll admit – I had to look it up after I kept hearing about it. A peplum is basically a big ruffle that starts at the waist and should stop right above the hip. Here are tops with peplums from spring/summer runways:

I think peplums are super cute and feminine. I am really excited to try this out. So excited that I bought these 2 peplum tops today from ASOS!
I can’t wait to get them in the mail later this week and try them on – I hope they look good!
