Day-to-night Valentine’s Day outfits for dates and singles

I don’t get Valentine’s Day. When I was single, it was annoying and stressful and now that I’m in a relationship, it feels forced. The one time we tried doing the go out to dinner Valentine’s Day thing, we ended up getting lost on the way and our meals came out wrong. So, it’s just a confusing day for me. But that’s just me. If the day makes you happy , I’m happy for you! Whether you’re going out for Valentine’s Day on a date or with your single friends, here are some day-to-night outfit ideas.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I am definitely not a big fan of this holiday.  For the many years I was single, Valentine’s Day would either stress me out or seem totally ridiculous.  Since I’ve been in a relationship, the one time we did try celebrating the day, it turned into a bit of a disaster – getting lost on the way to the restaurant, meals messed up, etc.  But there are a couple things I did get inspired by this year to get into the day a little bit.

I made these super-cute treats for my co-workers.  Thanks to pinterest for bringing these to my attention and for this blog for originating the idea.  Not only do they look good, but they taste good too!

I also painted my nails in celebration of the day – nude on 4 fingers and pink on the ring fingers.  I’ve been wanting to try the multi-color nail trend for awhile and figured this was a good one to test it out on.

How are you celebrating or not celebrating Valentine’s Day?

Happy Valentine’s Day!
